PIXEL-ATE
Big Burdens…Small Areas, “Graffiti”
Pastor Dan Myer

• I love to read…A recent book I have been rereading is called The Tipping point…
It researches Social epidemics…in fashion, cultural, criminal…
And one amazing account is an incredible epidemic that took place in NYC…

• The overwhelming “decline of crime” in NYC in the early 90’s
They traced the turn around to a few small key areas…

• 1) Caught, the guys who jumped turn-styles… 2) Fixed, all the broken windows…
3) Cleaned the graffiti off the walls…Spent tax dollars cleaning the subway cars

• Over a period of several yrs in NYC the graffiti was everywhere…so they began by cleaning it off the walls…

• And a wonderful epidemic ensued…things began to turn around in a major decline of crime! It is really quite an amazing thing…Crime is rampant and they attacked the burden by cleaning graffiti and repairing windows!

• But this principle is actually from the bible… Continue Reading »

“Algorithm” recap…

862480185_b5ad8888251.jpg

started a new series called “pixelate” Sundays installment was absolutely wonderful…thank you God. We had so many respond to Jesus and the moving of his presence was somewhat overwhelming at times. I love this kind of atmosphere…I have recieved many un-prompted e-mails of kind thanks for speaking on this subject and how the message impacted them. I can not take credit for this…I am just sharing with you things that God has shared with me. I’ll slide the actual message in above…needless to say the message is about making the small turns and getting into the right rythym with a God who owns all the answer and creates the Big Change we all need…Love ya, Blessings!

a god hearted giver!

IN / VISION
“God Hearted Giver!”
Pastor Dan Myer

Proverbs 3:5-10
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the LORD and turn away from evil (natural thinking). Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones.

Honor (Lavishly pour on) the LORD with your wealth and with the best part (first part) of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine.”

“Squiggling” and “Squirming”, people often say to churches, please…d-d-d-Don’t talk about the monstrous matter of money! Yikes!!

I would like to suggest to you that the church doesn’t talk enough about money! The church dives into a wide array of deep subjects in people’s lives…but when it comes to money we steer away from declaring what Jesus has to say about this important subject!

The media and networks are feverously talking about money from many different avenues and angles…ever political “pundent” and would be economist has a million thoughts, opinions, and reports. And all too often the voice that has the real answers for the subject is silenced. “Lending tree and AIG can not be the only ones to speak to me about money!” The God who knows it all is the one I want speaking to me about this important matter!

When the church does talk about it we jump and dance around it because of many who have used it wrongly to want and to waste…however, the reasons we should talk about money more…

Preach for the reasons Jesus preached, Luke 4:18-19, “open blinded eyes and bring freedom to those who are bound”

Preach about what Jesus preached about, there are more verses in the bible about money than any other subject…There are 500 verses about prayer, and less than 500 about faith

- There are 2000+ verses talking about possessions and money
- 16 of Jesus 38 parables addressed money, 1 out of every ten verses in the NT is about money, 1 out of every 6 in the OT Continue Reading »

We in/vision what God en/visions!

banner-invision.jpg

Do you see what God sees in you? Do you see it? Because if you don’t then it is impossible to…become it! God has envisioned unbelievable possibility in your life and we must “in/vision” it for ourselves, we must engage our hearts and lives in the process! We “in/vision” a church that is filled with the presence of God and brings healing and wholeness to those far from God. We are here to be a mobilized community of believers. We are called to connect and to engage this culture and to impart deep physical and spiritual healing for every life through Jesus Christ by the power of his Holy Spirit! Its time for you to see it and to be it!

Feel The Noise!

ftn.jpg

Far too noticed and numerous are the noises of the world that intentionally invade the spiritual ears of our souls….and seek to negatively impress and impact our hearts and lives…a clamorous concert of noise from the enemy of your soul telling you how you’re not going to make it!

Many are surrounded by the noise of old habits, the noise of paralyzing patterns, and the noise of overwhelming addictions. These things that try to trap us, hold us down and keep us back from living the life that God has intended. A life of true deliverance….a life of greatness through his power and grace!

Thankfully there is another voice, a sound that is much greater and wants to speak into our hearts! It’s the sound of God’s love! You can recover and overcome from all the attacks and all the wounds and all the struggles you have suffered from!

Far greater is the sound that comes from heaven than the sound that comes from earth. It’s a sound of the anthem of Gods love! It’s time to plug in and amp up the volume on God’s love! I want for somebody to understand and experience Gods love for you!

I want you to hear this Sound from Heaven so loud that you can feel it! God is calling us to himself! It’s the sound of his love! His Love is going to shake loose the chains of addiction and redefine your purpose. It’s time to experience the powerful and resonating sound of Gods love in every single area of your life!

A God Sized Dream

godsizeplug.jpg

“…Joseph had a dream, and he told it to his brothers; and they hated him even more. So he said to them, “Please hear this dream which I have dreamed: There we were, binding sheaves in the field. Then behold, my sheaf arose and also stood upright; and indeed your sheaves stood all around and bowed down to my sheaf.” And his brothers said to him, “Shall you indeed reign over us? Or shall you indeed have dominion over us?” So they hated him even more for his dreams and for his words. Then he dreamed still another Continue Reading »

you’re in the wrong chapter!

readplug2.jpg

I am an avid reader. I love to read. my interest are broad and cover many various topics and spectrums. My pastor used to say that “leaders are readers!” I believe this wholeheartedly. The bible lets us know that Jesus is the “author” of our faith and He has written the story of our lives and he knows every chapter, he knows each creative turn the plot takes…every struggle and every trial…as well as every victory and every triumph. I have recently gone through a series of major changes in this journey my life is on…some good, some I have not enjoyed as much, and it is easy (as to see as I’m sure many will atest) to get caught in “between” the chapters so to speak. The feelings that these trials and victories invoke can sometimes get us hung up. I guess I have recently parked my self in between the chapters. A good friend called me up and said he had a word from God for me and he said, “you’re in the wrong chapter.” I thought about this as he explained further, you are hanging on to the last chapter of your life. You are stuck in the feelings and challenges that you faced in chapter 2 when God has flipped the page in your life, you are in chapter 3. It is time to move on. I know it can seem like a simple thought, but it has a whole lot of people bound. There are a lot of people that are not really living their dreams, they are jut repeating the same chapters over and over and over again in their lives. Its the same thing just a different day! This is not living! I believe we need to turn a new page and discover a whole new chapter of victory and blessing in our lives! God has a new chapter for all our lives, its a chapter full of fresh new opportunities and life abundance! Do not stay hung up anymore…turn the page!

become a kingdom builder!

kbplug.jpg

We have this passionate mission burning in our hearts to “reach those far from God that they may experience a life of healing and wholeness through Jesus Christ!” We are currently meeting in the Independence School on 230 Orchard Ave in Bolingbrook, Il just off Lily Cache. Our vision is to fill this up twice and go to two weekend worship experiences at this site, which will pretty much be the cap! We then plan to move into a 13,000 sq ft warehouse which will house a worship area, student center, prayer site, food kitchen, ministry offices, childrens day care, and conference center.
